Web 2.0 Marketing Gets Real

Hi all,
How’s it going? Nice to see the old Feedburner list getting larger! I’m assuming that you all realise that you’re basically teamed up with a bloke who’s, most likely, at your level of internet marketing expertise but who’s got a few innovative ideas to throw into the proverbial www pot?
Re The Webel Way:
I bet you’re also finding that it takes a bit longer than you thought, especially if you are going down the full ‘Podcast and Video’ route and keeping track of it all in your .doc file. I certainly did.
My fault! I was adding and testing stuff as I went along but that’s par for the course - and, as we go, we’re finding what works and what doesn’t. In fact my new, abbreviated, ONE WEEK to dominate your corner of the pond is under way as we speak and I shall be reporting back shortly.
What does this mean?
I’m now updating/finessing my campaigns into short, sharp seven day hits. I’m using my experience and notes of how various web 2.0 sites ranked in previous campaigns. Those that did well and those that didn’t.
More to come on this. But we’re talking a top #3 on Yahoo, ditto on MSN and dominating Google with a 40-50% coverage of pages #1 and #2 for this new campaign.
Don’t be a stranger therefore.

Wow, I love Webel. It is so helpful for all of us linear thinkers. Can’t wait to see the 7 day plan. Thanks for all that you are doing.

How exciting for you! Pages #1 and #2 on Google.
I think I had to go to page #70 before I found my site (and that was sheer determination just to see if I was listed at all).

I’ve decided, with the new 7 day Quick Fix campaign that I’m not going to check rankings until the campaign is over (just tidied up day #3 stuff today by the way).
And, boys and girls, let me tell you that this is difficult! I’m DESPERATE to get in there and check but I also realise it would be a distraction.
So I’m sticking to my guns and concentrating on the campaign.
PS: You know Camtasia (that screen capture software that you see all the time on the Gurus’ sites? Those nifty films that explain how something works?)
I always loved it but $350+? Sorry, too pricey!

For those of you unsure on the video aspect of the Webel Way this is a great find!
